~Mani/Pedi~

One of my favorite things to do is pamper myself on my off-day is my manicures and pedicures. I'm truly girly, but most of the time I don't feel like I am. After all the sweat and garage gym, Gold's gym and running, the last thing I feel is girl! But the day I get to 'maintenance' myself, I feel revived! I first get my mani/pedi, I do my hair, even if it's a self pamper, and I try to get tanned. I'm going to post pictures of the magic my manucurist does for me...I hope you enjoy! If you like or have any new ideas for me, please share :)

Weight update :)

So many changes…. The first is that my body is finally responding to the diets and working out. I have lost a few more pounds and inches. However, I’m not sure if it’s a little too late. I’m 10 weeks out from my first competition show. If I’m not ready, it’s obvious my trainer won’t put me out there. I want it so bad and I’m so nervous about it that I’m making myself sick. I dream about it and think about it every second of the day. I know I have to focus on the positive things happening in our lives right now. One very important thing is to appreciate the changes I do see my body going through. I can see ab muscles I haven’t see in years. My lower abs are still a problem even though I lost a lot of fat there. I need to tighten them up. Everyday I wake up sore from the exercises, and on my day’s off I feel guilt..and I know I need rest days. It’s a love-hate relationship in my head. I started a Facebook fan page called PinkWeights. I’m using it as a form to post updates on food and exercises..and what makes me tick throughout the day. My problem with it, I have random thoughts and I update FB thru my phone, but if I post something, it goes to my personal page, not fun L

I hope everyone finds themselves well and appreciates the small things in life. I have to remind myself at times to do just that…J

~Rambling On~

I’m rambling today basically about nothing…Work is okay…the days go by pretty fast.
I been eating pretty clean and I’m enjoying it…I know shocker!! My workouts have been consistent and I can see the difference in my body…which reminds me, I seen a few pictures of my fellow competitors for the coming show in a few months. It only fueled my drive because they look awesome and everyone is working super hard. J I have been spending a lot of time with my husband since the kids are away with grandparents….but mostly working out and preparing our meals. We love this kind of stuff so it doesn’t faze us that we’re not really going out to drink and eat. I have a very supportive hubby who wants to see me on stage and supports all my decisions. I haven’t posted a picture of our recent baby, Romeo; we got him for father’s day. He’s absolutely gorgeous…and has us all head over heals for him. I’ll post a pic of him. He’s half Chihuahua and half Poodle. Cute little guy, he’s getting chunky … and he’s just fulfilled our lives with much love. Other than that, life is good right now. I’m in my training mode and ready for this week’s kickass workouts.

~The Schedule~

I decided to share my workout plan with you all....I mean I really don't know why people like to keep their routines or food intake hush hush....for one you can customize your own online...everything is available online! And even more importantly; everyone is different, no one workout plan or meal plan works for everybody the same..you'll have to customize it anyway right? But I guess it can be the fact that people get paid for this information. To tell you the truth i pay my trainer for the consistency and the push he gives me. The guidance persay, but really, if anyone wants to stick to a plan, you can do it on your own. I do love my trainer tho', he pushes me to the max.

First the workout plan.
I probably mentioned this before or maybe I mentioned it on facebook..but either way here it goes..I start my workout week on Friday's. I do this to hold myself accountable for the week. If I work out early Saturday, I pretty much stay on top of my game all day and tend to cheat less. I workout Friday, Saturday and Monday with my trainer and I go running on Sundays, so that makes me accountable for 4 days out of the week. I still continue to work out at the gym the other 3 days. But if I miss a day, eh it's not too bad you know? I'm suppose to take Thursdays as my off day, but I'll alternate depending on how I feel between Tues Wed and Thurs.

Friday: Cardio and Shoulders (with trainer)
Saturday: (7am workout) Legs (with trainer)
Sunday: running, jogging or anything active with the family
Monday: Cardio and Back (with trainer)
Tuesday: Cardio and Arms (at gym with hubby)
Wednesday: Legs (at gym with hubby)
Thursday: Cardio and off day (or chest at gym with hubby)

I have to hit Cardio atleast 5 times a week right now because I still have weight to lose.

My diet is basic, High Protein, low carbs, no Refined Sugars!
Lots of turkey, chicken and fish. Wild rice, oatmeal, eggs and protein shakes.
I currently lay low on dairy and eat lots of veggies. I keep it to one fruit a day if any.

My supplements are Protein of course, vitamin C, vitamin E, multi-vitamin, and glutamine.
Well I'm suppose to take glutamine and I must get consistent so I will :)
I'm doing better with consistency because in the past I wasn't even consistent with a multi vitamin, much less a whole pharmacy... but I'm working on it.

I been wanting to blog more, but sometimes I get the block. So I decided to blog to whatever comes to mind, even if it has nothing to do with losing weight, working out or bodybuilding. So stay tune my friends!

The Challenge

These last few days have been pretty amazing. My mom has been with us since Sunday evening and will stay until the end of the week. She lives with my brother about an 1 ½ away and it’s so great to have her company!
*The problem* She cooks amazing! I been off my diet to say the least…

*The motivation to get back on track even in her presence* during my last workout with my trainer, a challenge came up that was suggested by another trainee.

*The challenge: 3 of us ladies are to put in $150 in a pot and have a biggest loser (bodyfat %) for 3 months-winner takes all! Now, I am the most competitive person I know! I don’t care what the challenge is, I’m in….I take the challenge extra seriously because I have 5 months left to prep for my first competition. And I can definitely use that money for the bikini, so it’s a win win situation…but these ladies mean business so I have to step up my game.

I have started walking during my lunch just for the extra calories…I need to burn burn and burn some more!!

~Wish me luck!~
